[September 5, 2025] — The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) is proud to announce the appointment of Janet Raymer as its new Executive Director. Raymer brings a proven record of leadership, program development, and organizational management from her extensive background in collegiate athletics and the private sector.
Raymer most recently served as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Chadron State College (2016–2023), where her teams earned two Top-25 WBCA Academic finishes and produced eight All-RMAC selections. Beyond competition, she directed youth camps that engaged more than 7,000 participants, underscoring her commitment to athlete development and community impact.
Her career also includes significant experience outside of athletics. Raymer previously managed over $2 million in contracts and held leadership roles in operations within the Fortune 500 fintech sector. This diverse background positions her uniquely to guide the CRCA into its next chapter of growth and innovation.
“I’m honored to serve as the new Executive Director of the CRCA,” said Raymer. “Building on the strong leadership of those who came before me, I am committed to supporting our coaches, advancing the sport of rowing, and ensuring that the CRCA continues to grow in value and impact for its members.”
CRCA President Kemp Savage praised the selection, stating: “After a nationwide search that had an incredible talent pool, Janet really stood out in her vision and preparation to lead the CRCA. I want to thank the hiring committee for their time and valued insight to select the person who will lead the CRCA into our next chapter.”
As Executive Director, Raymer will focus on strengthening member services, expanding the visibility of collegiate rowing, and fostering collaboration across the coaching community. Her leadership aims to further the CRCA’s mission of supporting and advancing the sport at every level.
